Museum of Hebei University celebrates 2019 International Museum Day

From May 17th to May 21st, the International Museum Day activity week with the theme of “Pearl of North China--Baiyangdian Lake” was held in HBU Museum to celebrate the 43rd International Museum Day. This activity was hosted by HBU Science and Technology Office and Hebei Zoological Society and co-organized by HBU Museum, College of Life Science and College of History.

Above 4000 people visited in this activity week. They viewed the theme exhibition on Baiyangdian Lake and permanent exhibition on biology, visited the laboratory of restoration and identification of cultural relics and watched the documentaries on natural science and humanities.

This activity played an important role in drawing public attention to cultural heritage in nature and history, encouraging public participation consciousness and realizing mutual cognition and good interaction between the museum and its audiences. At the same time, the influence of HBU museum was expanded in our society, showing the HBU’s function of serving local society further.
