HBU Students Won the Technology Innovation Award and the Best Student Team Award   in HarmonyOS Developer Innovation Competition

Recently, the 2nd HarmonyOS Developer Innovation Competition was concluded successfully. Instructed by Professor Zhang Suoliang's team, “Gewujiang”, composed of Gao Binguang and Xu Jikang from the College of Electronic Information Engineering of HBU, got into the national Top 18, and finally won the Technology Innovation Award and the Best Student Team Award, as well as the cash prize of 70,000 Yuan.

On October 22, 2021, the competition was officially launched, hosted by the Terminal Software Department and the Developer Alliance of Huawei, with the theme of "Creating Infinite Possibilities Together". It is committed to constantly discovering excellent innovative talents and projects, promoting developers, through learning HarmonyOS, to creatively develop cross-terminal applications with utterly new experience and interaction and propose solutions for full-scene Harmony ecology linked to ecological resources. Developers then could accelerate the implementation of HarmonyOS innovative applications and solutions, work together to promote Harmony ecological construction and create a full-scene intelligent life. Over the course of 10 months, the competition attracted more than 1,300 teams and enabled over 43,000 developers.

Starting from the pain points in engineering applications, combining the excellent features of the embedded hardware-OpenHarmonyOS and mobile phone application-HarmonyOS, our team designed the "Gewujiang wireless oscilloscope", which was commended by the judges for its innovation and practicability.

Through several selections by 9 panels of authoritative judges, instruction by 50 professional mentors, online live open classes, and offline training, 18 final teams stood out from qualifiers, fighting for the 1.55 million yuan of the cash prize set for awarded teams and individuals.
