HBU Participated in the Online Exchange Meeting Held by Hebei, China and Buenos Aires, Argentina

On March 7th, an online exchange meeting was held between the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Hebei Province, P. R. China, and the Government of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Liu Yuan, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Hebei Province, P. R. China, Ye Changqing, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Hebei Province, P. R. China, Wang Xiaoling, Deputy Mayor of Cangzhou, Hebei, Valeria Lejido, Director of Planning and International Cooperation Department of Buenos Aires Province, Lucas Ghi, Mayor of Morón, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Mg. Alfredo Alfonso, President of the National University of Quilmes (UNQ), Argentina, attended the meeting. Also, Shen Shigang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of HBU, attended the conference.

At the meeting, Liu Yuan expressed that Hebei Province valued and cherished its 31-year friendship with Buenos Aires. The friendly ties between the two sides have continued to grow stronger thanks to the backing of the two provincial governments and the combined efforts of numerous societal groups, and satisfying outcomes in exchanges and cooperation in numerous domains have been attained. Signing the cooperation framework agreement between HBU and UNQ was achieved through the friendly exchanges between the two sides and also marks the beginning of a new chapter in our mutual development. Valeria Lejido said that this year marked the 31st anniversary of the friendship between Buenos Aires and Hebei. In recent years, both sides have worked hard to consolidate the comprehensive partnership and will achieve much more cooperation in the future. Buenos Aires will spare no effort to facilitate the implementation of various exchange projects and continuously promote the deeper development of inter-provincial friendly relations.

Shen Shigang expressed the hope that the two universities will take advantage of the opportunity to sign the memorandum of cooperation to comprehensively expand cooperation and exchanges in teacher-student sessions, scientific research, and Mandarin Chinese promotion, further strengthen mutual understanding and close communication, and provide timely help between the two universities, while promoting exchanges in the fields of economy, culture, and education, and accelerate the deepening development of inter-provincial friendly relations. Mg. Alfredo Alfonso, the vice Mayor of Cangzhou, and the Mayor of Morón addressed the meeting, respectively.

Subsequently, Shen Shigang, Vice President of HBU, signed a memorandum of cooperation with Mg. Alfredo Alfonso, President of the National University of Quilmes (UNQ), Argentina, and a letter of intent to establish friendly inter-provincial relations was signed between the government of Cangzhou and the government of Morón during the online meeting.
