Hebei University and ESTIA Institute of Technology Hold Video Conference
On the afternoon of June 16th, Hebei University (HBU) and ESTIA Institute of Technology (ESTIA) hold an exchange meeting online. Patxi Elissalde, president of ESTIA , and professor Octavian Curea attend the meeting, together with Peng Chen, its head of Asian affairs. Shen Shigang, member of the standing committee of the CPC committee and vice president of HBU, attends the meeting.
In 2019, a letter of intent was signed between HBU and ESTIA. In 2020, both sides signed cooperation agreements on Sino-French Engineer Training Program, aiming to develop international general engineers, Shen addresses the meeting. As we speak, there are two experimental classes for jointly developing Sino-French engineers, respectively 2020 batch and 2021 batch. Based on the meeting, both sides hope to address problems arising in the program through close communication, and further strengthen links with each other to promote cooperation in a diversified manner.
The Covid-19 pandemic indeed influences the international exchanges, such as talent cultivation, scientific research. Nevertheless, both sides have strived to explore a new model for developing engineers and conducted fruitful cooperation online, Patxi Elissalde notes. It is hoped that both sides strengthen communication, expand cooperation, and realize mutual visits early.
Subsequently, Zhang Xin, deputy dean of College of Electronic Information Engineering, HBU, and professor Octavian Curea of ESTIA conduct further discussion about the program with its relevant directors.
