Overseas Universities Sent Wishes to HBU for the Spring Festival

On the arrival of the Year of Tiger in the lunar calendar, Hebei University has received videos, congratulatory letters, and e-mails expressing best wishes for the Spring Festival from the presidents or principals of more than 20 overseas cooperative universities, including from France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Malaysia, Brazil, Mauritania, Belgium, Nepal, South Korea, Japan, and other countries or regions. They extended greetings and best wishes for the Spring Festival to our teachers, students, also expressed the desire to strengthen cooperation with Hebei University in 2022.

Hebei University has remained committed to the opening-up of education and has established cooperative and exchange relations with more than 100 universities in the world. In recent years, our university has carried out pragmatic and fruitful cooperation in these areas, including talent training, cooperation with overseas universities, exchange of visits between teachers and students, international conferences, scientific research cooperation, cultural exchanges, and the introduction of talents. At the same time, Hebei University has won the praise of overseas cooperative universities and enhanced our international reputation. International exchanges have been greatly affected by the global COVID-19 epidemic. But we have worked together with overseas cooperative universities in planning new forms of communication and cooperation to overcome the current difficulties. The breadth and depth of our cooperation are further expanded through cloud meetings, online summer camps, and other ways. We have made common progress in face of difficulties, and new achievements have been made in international cooperation. As Patxi Elissalde, president of ESTIA Institute of Technology, mentioned in the video, this year is the Year of Tiger in the Chinese lunar calendar. I hope we can overcome the COVID-19 epidemic as soon as possible to carry out better exchange activities and further strengthen cooperation between our two universities. I wish all the teachers, students, and their families of Hebei University a happy Spring Festival and also hope to have the opportunity to meet you offline soon.
