The Opening Ceremony of Hebei Regional Economic Development Research Institute and the Second Hebei Regional Economic Development Seminar was Successfully Held in HBU

The opening ceremony of Hebei regional economic development research institute and the second Hebei regional economic development seminar was successfully held in our school from October 24th to 26th. On the afternoon of October 24th, the secretary of the party committee Guo Jian met with the attended professor Christopher A. Pissarides, the Nobel prize winner in economics, and congratulated the establishment of the research institute. After the meeting, Guo Jian invited Pissarides and his delegations to visit calligraphy and painting exhibition by teachers and students, Xu Yu art museum and library.

On the morning of October 25th, the opening ceremony of Hebei regional economic development research institute and the second Hebei regional economic development seminar was inaugurated. Shen Shigang, the Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and vice-president in our school presided over the opening ceremony. Chen Hongjun - the Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and vice-president in our school and professor Pissarides made speeches successively, and they unveiled the ceremony along with the experts attending the meeting.

In the seminar, keynote speeches were made separately by Sun Shifang - the dean of Research Institute of China Economic Development Trends of Economic Daily Press, professor Hong Junjie, the director of Department of Economics in University of International Business and Economics and dean of the School of International Economics and Trade, Peng Jianqiang - the sub-dean of Hebei Academy of Social Sciences. Over 100 people include workers in charge of relevant departments and representatives of faculty and students of the School of Economics attended the ceremony.
