105th Anniversary Academic Series: The First Forum on Frontier Innovation in Aerospace Information Technology Successfully Held at Hebei University

On October 24, 2026, the First Forum on Frontier Innovation in Aerospace Information Technology was grandly convened in Lecture Hall 118 of Building D1 at the Qiyi Road Campus of Hebei University. The forum was jointly organized by the College of Electronic Information Engineering of Hebei University together with the School of Information and Communication Engineering, the School of Aerospace Science and Technology, and the Aerospace Information Innovation Center of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, as well as the Hebei Provincial Technology Innovation Center for Machine Vision, the Hebei Provincial Key Laboratory of Digital Medical Engineering, and the Hebei Provincial Key Laboratory of Brain-Inspired Neural Devices and Systems. It was co-organized by eight industry enterprises, including Taiji Computer Corporation Limited and Huantian Smart Technology Co., Ltd. The forum brought together leading experts and scholars in China's aerospace information field to exchange views on frontier technologies and innovative development directions.

Liu Xiuling, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hebei University Committee and Vice President of Hebei University, attended the forum and delivered remarks. She introduced the University's history, its disciplinary layout, and the progress made by its colleges, noting that aerospace information technology is a core field underpinning national strategy. She expressed the hope that all participants would engage in thorough exchanges so as to advance theoretical innovation and technological breakthroughs. The opening ceremony was chaired by Dong Limei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Electronic Information Engineering.

Zhang Zhaoyan, Dean of the College of Electronic Information Engineering, chaired the keynote session, at which five national-level high-caliber talents shared frontier research. Professor Xing Chengwen of Beijing Institute of Technology addressed “Energy-Efficient Design for Movable-Antenna-Assisted Multi-User MIMO Systems,” presenting an energy-efficiency optimization scheme for multi-user MIMO systems under a movable antenna architecture. Professor Jiang Chunxiao of Tsinghua University delivered a report entitled “A New Architecture and Chip Implementation for In-Memory Computing-Based Communication Baseband Signal Processing,” explaining the technical principles of the new signal processing architecture and the pathway to chip implementation. Professor Cheng Wenchi of Xidian University spoke on “Key Technologies for Emergency Communication in Extreme Environments,” introducing technological innovation and engineering applications of emergency communication systems in extreme scenarios. Professor Wu Yongpeng of Shanghai Jiao Tong University presented “World-Model-Enabled Integration of Perception, Communication, and Decision-Making for Complex Unmanned Systems,” exploring the technical architecture and implementation directions for such integration. Professor Guo Shaoyong of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications spoke on “Research on Key Technologies for Computing–Power Coordinated Scheduling and Typical Applications,” sharing core technologies and applied results across multiple scenarios.

In addition, renowned scholars including Professor Wu Sheng, Professor Fan Jian, and Professor Zhang Kaisa of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications attended the forum and held in-depth discussions with faculty members, students, and enterprise representatives on technology transfer, talent cultivation, and industry–academia–research collaboration.

Covering core directions such as communication technology, computing-power chips, emergency support, and unmanned systems, the forum showcased the latest academic progress in China's aerospace information field and built a platform for matchmaking and collaborative innovation between universities and enterprises. Its success will further enhance the influence of Hebei University's information and communication engineering discipline, deepen university–enterprise collaborative education, and provide support for serving the national aerospace strategy and promoting the high-quality development of the regional digital economy. Faculty and student representatives from relevant disciplines at Hebei University and representatives of the co-organizing units attended the forum.
