HBU Holds 2026 Conference on Education Opening-Up
On April 27, Hebei University held its 2026 Conference on Education Opening-Up at the Wusi Road Campus. Party Secretary Liu Bing, President Meng Qingyu, and Vice President Zhang Yangjian attended the meeting. The conference was chaired by President Meng Qingyu, with the participation of the principal heads of all member units of the University’s Education Opening-Up Leading Group.
The meeting stressed that the university should advance its education opening-up from the perspective of supporting the development of a leading country in education, making opening-up and cooperation a priority and an intrinsic driver of reform and development. It further emphasized maintaining strategic resolve, actively responding to challenges in the external environment, and persisting in education opening-up without wavering. The university should continue to optimize its global layout for education opening-up, establishing multi-level, multi-field, and multi-form mechanisms for exchange and cooperation. It also underscored the need to uphold and strengthen the Party’s overall leadership, striving to write a new chapter in the university’s international exchanges and cooperation.
The meeting received work reports from the International Cooperation Office / Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, the Hebei University – University of Central Lancashire Media and Creative Industries Institute, the School of International Exchange and Education, the Confucius Institute Office, the International College, the School of Management, and the School of Nursing. It announced the adjusted membership list of the Education Opening-Up Leading Group, discussed the Rules of Procedure for the Education Opening-Up Leading Group (Discussion Draft), and studied specific matters such as faculty training visits to Hong Kong and the construction of a pilot base for high-level international talent cultivation innovation projects.
