HBU Affiliated Hospital Hosts 2024 China • Baoding Rehabilitation Development Conference & Skills Competition

From May 21st to 23rd, the 2024 China • Baoding Rehabilitation Development Conference and Rehabilitation Skills Competition, hosted by the Baoding Health Committee and the Baoding General Federation of Trade Unions, and organized by our affiliated hospital, the Baoding Rehabilitation Medical Association, Baoding Rehabilitation Hospital, and Baoding Traditional Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Hospital, was held at our university.

On May 23rd, the 2024 China • Baoding Rehabilitation Development Conference took place at our 71 Road campus. Attendees included Ma Yimin, member of the Baoding Municipal Government Party Committee, Li Jian'an, Honorary Dean of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Nanjing Medical University and International Fellow of the American Academy of Sciences, Xi Jianing, Vice President of the Chinese Rehabilitation Medical Association and Foreign Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences, Guo Jian, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, and Yang Zhonglai, Deputy Inspector of the Provincial Health Commission. Pang Ying, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Baoding Health Committee, presided over the conference.

In his speech, Guo Jian pointed out that renowned experts and scholars in the field of rehabilitation medicine from across China gathered at Hebei University to implement the significant deployment of "comprehensively promoting the construction of a healthy China" from the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, deeply implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection in Baoding, and providing suggestions, consensus, and development plans to enhance the capacity of Baoding's rehabilitation medical services and promote the high-quality development of rehabilitation medicine. Hebei University has always been working closely with the people of Baoding to support Baoding in building a leading area for a healthy China, a national innovation demonstration zone for life and health industry, a cross-border medical service development zone, and a world-class capital of life and health.

The 2024 China • Baoding Rehabilitation Development Conference is the first conference held in Baoding with a focus on the development of rehabilitation medicine. The theme of this conference is "Developing the Rehabilitation Career and Improving the Quality of Health," aiming to gather wisdom from all parties to discuss and promote the development of rehabilitation medicine. Renowned experts and scholars in the field of rehabilitation medicine from China participated, with over 500 representatives from Baoding's medical institutions and relevant departments attending the conference.

From May 21st to 22nd, the first Baoding Rehabilitation Skills Competition was held at the Medical Department of Hebei University. Thirty-two teams from various medical institutions in Baoding competed fiercely for two days, and our affiliated hospital team swept the first prizes in both individual and group categories. Additionally, the conference awarded our affiliated hospital with the Outstanding Organization Award.

During the conference, renowned domestic experts in rehabilitation medicine, Professor Li Jian'an and Professor Xi Jianing, visited our affiliated hospital to inspect and guide the construction of rehabilitation medicine on-site, giving high praise to our affiliated hospital for its medical, teaching, research, and rehabilitation medicine development.
