Counselor Wang Yongzhao from the Chinese Embassy in Mauritania Visits Our Confucius Institute at the University of Nouakchott

 

On the afternoon of January 22nd, local time, Wang Yongzhao, the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mauritania, visited our Confucius Institute at the University of Nouakchott. He guided the work and expressed condolences to the representatives of the teachers and students at the Confucius Institute.

 

Accompanied by the Chinese and local directors, Wang Yongzhao visited the office area, teaching area, and the photo exhibition “Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind: China's Initiatives and Actions” at the Confucius Institute. The Chinese director, Guo Guangwei, introduced the basic situation, special projects, and development plans of the Confucius Institute at the University of Nouakchott to Wang Yongzhao, focusing on the local teaching points, number of students, cultural activities, Chinese proficiency exams, and scholarship programs.

 

Wang Yongzhao highly praised the contributions of the Confucius Institute at the University of Nouakchott in Chinese language teaching and cultural exchange. He hoped that the Confucius Institute would continue to work hard, strengthen academic exchanges, actively organize activities such as the “Chinese Bridge” competition, increase publicity efforts, and strive to make more Mauritanians understand Chinese culture, thus making the work of the Confucius Institute at the University of Nouakchott more vibrant and colorful.
