The Asia-Pacific Regional Cooperation Seminar was Held at HBU
On November 25, the Asia-Pacific Regional Cooperation Seminar, jointly organized by the China Institute of World Economy and Hebei University, and hosted by the School of Economics at Hebei University, was held at the Qiyi Road campus. Shanyaojun, member of the university's Party Committee and Vice President, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhang Yuyan, President of the China Institute of World Economy and Director of the Institute of World Economy and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a video speech at the opening ceremony.
At the seminar, experts and scholars such as Professor Liu Hongzhong, Vice President of the China Institute of World Economy and Director of the Shanghai Institute of Global Governance and Regional Studies at Shanghai International Studies University, Professor Lin Guijun, former Vice President of the University of International Business and Economics, Professor Li Xiaoping, Dean of the School of Economics at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and other experts and scholars delivered keynote speeches on the new developments and achievements in their respective research fields under the framework of Asia-Pacific regional economic cooperation.
During the seminar, experts and scholars also participated in five parallel forums on topics such as "Belt and Road" and Asia-Pacific economic cooperation, China's rise and international issues in the Asia-Pacific region, opportunities and challenges in Asia-Pacific economic and trade cooperation, development of regional value chains and regional cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region under the RCEP framework, and China's high-level opening up and modernization under the Asia-Pacific background. The responsible persons of each parallel forum reported the main points of the speeches and discussions, and Professor Liu Hongzhong, Vice President of the China Institute of World Economy, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony.
Professor Cheng Xinxuan presided over the opening ceremony, and Li Dong, Secretary of the School of Economics Party Committee, delivered the closing speech. More than 100 scholars and representatives from 48 universities and research institutions including the Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the University of International Business and Economics, as well as representatives from the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences and the School of Economics at Hebei University, attended the conference.
