Invited to Attend the China–Australia Clean Energy Leadership Program Forum

From December 10 to 12, the second forum of the China–Australia Clean Energy Leadership Program (ELICE) was held at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. The forum was initiated by UNSW and the Australian Centre for Advanced Photovoltaics (ACAP), and funded by the Australia–China Foundation under the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Researcher Chen Jianhui from the College of Physics Science and Technology at Hebei University was invited to attend and gave a keynote speech titled “New Passivation Mechanisms of Photovoltaic Cells and Their Applications,” actively presenting Hebei University’s research progress and achievements in the related field to international peers, garnering wide attention from participating experts, scholars, and industry representatives.

Attendees included the Australian Minister for Immigration and Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Vice-President for Research of UNSW and the Director of the School of Photovoltaics, representatives from prominent Australian companies, the Counselor (Science and Technology) of the Chinese Consulate-General in Sydney, the Chief Representative of the China International Talent Exchange Association in Australia, and others. The forum featured diverse discussions centered on core topics such as “technological collaborative innovation, industry integration and alignment, and talent cooperation and cultivation.” It aimed to provide a platform for young scholars and technical personnel from China and Australia engaged in the new energy sector to learn systematically and exchange ideas, encourage scholars and enterprises to jointly explore frontier scientific issues and showcase research progress, and collectively broaden research perspectives and capabilities. It is an important academic exchange activity for deepening bilateral cooperation in the clean energy field.
