HBU Secured a Major Grant from National Social Science Fund


Recently, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences issued an announcement on its website, which published a list of 130 major projects of the National Social Science Fund for the “Research and Interpretation on the Spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China” this year. The study entitled “The Research on China's Long-term Population Development Strategy to Enhance Comprehensive Strength” chaired by Wang Jinying, a professor of the School of Economics in Hebei University, got approved. This is the only project approved this time in Hebei province, and it also marks the 9th time that HBU got the approval of national major scientific research project in philosophy and social sciences.


Professor Wang Jinying is a PhD in Economics, a doctoral supervisor, and concurrently the vice president of the 9th China Population Association. He has acquired remarkable achievement by engaging in research and learning in demography, population economics, human capital and economic growth, regional economics and other fields for a long time. His achievement Investigation and Countermeasure Research on Poor Families in Contiguous Poverty Areas—Based on the Investigation of Yanshan-Taihang Mountain and Heilonggang River Basin won the second prize of the eighth outstanding achievement award of scientific research in colleges and universities (humanities and social sciences), and Transformation of Population and Economic Development Mode was selected into the national library of philosophy and social sciences achievements.
