HBU Held the 9th China-Korea International Symposium on Song, Liao, Xia, Jin and Yuan History
On August 30th, the 9th China-Korea International Symposium on Song, Liao, Xia, Jin, Yuan History hosted by the Song History Research Center of HBU opened, which will be held online and offline. The main meeting place is in HBU. Professor Guo Changbao, Vice President, Professor Bao Weimin, President of the Chinese Song History Research Association, and Professor Cao Fuxuan, Vice President of the Society of Korea Song and Yuan History, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
More than 60 experts and scholars from more than 50 universities at home and abroad, including Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Zhejiang University, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Kyonggi University, KyungHee University, and Gakushuin University, participated in the conference and submitted more than 60 high-level academic papers.
On behalf of the organizer, Guo Changbao extended a warm welcome to the participating experts and scholars, and expressed his gratitude to the history experts in China, Japan and Korea for their support to HBU over the years. He fully affirmed the significance of this regular academic exchange conference between China and Korea in academic research and cultural exchanges, and hoped that the Chinese and Korean historian circle will continue to actively explore international exchanges and cooperation in historical research. So as to make new contributions to the international historical and cultural exchanges.
Professor Jiang Xidong, Director of the Song History Research Center of HBU, Professor Cao Fuxuan from Korea, and Professor Wang Ruilai from Gakushuin University gave keynote speeches respectively. Scholars conducted two-day academic seminars on the topics of “politics, economy, culture, military, national and international exchanges during the Song, Liao, Xia, Jin and Yuan periods from the 10th to 13th centuries” in accordance with the political and military group, the socioeconomic group, and the cultural and literature group.
The China-Korea (Korea-China) International Symposium on Song, Liao, Xia, Jin and Yuan History was founded in 2005 and is held every two years. The conference is alternately hosted by the Song History Research Center of HBU and the Song and Yuan History Society of Korea.
