HBU Students Achieved Excellent Results at 16th CIMC

 

Recently, the winning list of the National Final of the 16th “Siemens Cup” China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge (CIMC) was released.

Hebei University won the Excellent Organization Award and 9 students from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering won national awards.

Three teams led by Gao Yuehua, Zhang Zhaoyan, Zhou Zhen, and Fu Lei, instructors from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering, won two national first prizes in the information networking competition and one national second prize in the discrete industry motion control competition respectively.

The “Siemens Cup” China Smart Manufacturing Challenge is a national competition co-sponsored by the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of China for Automation Engineering, Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., and the China Simulation Federation. It has been the largest academic competition in China's automation engineering field and has been included in the National University Academic Competition Ranking Evaluation Competitions.

Over the past years, the School of Electronic and Information Engineering pays great attention to discipline development and encourages students to take part in national competitions at all levels and disciplines.

The school attached great importance to the competition and organized professional instructors to guide and train the contestants, in a bid to improve the comprehensive quality of students through contests. In recent years, the school makes active efforts to explore new training models for engineering talents in the new era and enhance discipline development and reform to echo the national strategy of intelligent manufacturing, meet the needs of regional economic and social development and improve the quality of personnel training.
