On June 27th, a memorandum was signed between the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and HBU in Beijing. 

    The cooperation memorandum was signed by Kang Le, President of HBU  and Keene Bloch, President of UCLA.

    The cooperation regarding to scientific research, exchange visit of teachers and students, training of students and sharing teaching resources. After the signing ceremony, Kang Le, Keene Bloch and other representatives conducted in-depth discussions on the cooperation between the two universities. Attendees for the signing ceremony were Cindy Van, Vice President of UCLA, Stephen Chen, Director of Asian Community Development, Yang Xuexin, Vice President of HBU, and relevant officials of the Office of the President and the International Cooperation Office.

    Founded in 1919, UCLA is the representative of a public research university in the University of California system, and ranked first in the 2018 US Public University Rankings by U.S.NEWS. This cooperation is to introduce UCLA's excellent research resources, teaching models and learning methods and organically connect our education model with the education models among high-level universities in the world. At the same time, with the help of the high-level international education platform, students can further broaden international horizons, cultivate critical thinking and improve innovative ability of scientific research.
